The Action Plan for 2018 on implementation of awareness-raising and propaganda work on application of labour legislation has been prepared at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The document envisages the holding of seminars and consultations on relevant issues by the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry in all regions of the country during the current year, in accordance with Article 5 "Organization of awareness-raising and propaganda work against informal employment" of the "Action Plan on the Prevention of Non-formal Employment in the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No 3287 dated October 9, 2017. A working group has been set up to organize these events.
Seminars and consultations will cover topics "Leisure time and vacation rights of employees. The right to vacation and its provision", "Basis and rules for conclusion, changing the terms and termination of the labour contract", "Labour rights for women and guarantees for their implementation", "Labour conditions, labour function and the legal norms regulating their application", "Preventing forced labour and human trafficking", "Labour norms, norms, rules and guarantees of labour remuneration", "Forms, rules of payment of wages and deductions from wages ", "General rules for the conclusion of collective bargaining and agreement" and etc.
It also envisages holding seminars and consultations on "Occupational safety norms, rules and principles", "Types of working time, working time regime and rules of business regulation over time", "Legal norms regulating the attestation of employees and workplaces" and other topics. At the same time, it is also planned to continue awareness raising activities on children's rights in the field of labour relations, organize seminars and consultations on "Prevention of child labour exploitation" in the current year.
During the events, it is also planned to distribute enlightening printing products on relevant topics to the participants.
